BEFORE YOUR WEDDING
1. Check your wedding date availability by leaving an enquiry. I will generally reply within 24-48 hours.
2. To secure your date a 20% deposit and signed contract is required.
3. Consultation: 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding, we will have a full consultation to design your artwork. Discussing colours, ideas, backdrop, poses, and anything else that is important to you on your wedding day.
THE WEDDING DAY
1. Depending on the piece of work, I will generally arrive 2-3 hours prior to the ceremony commencing to begin painting the background and planning your layout. When the guests arrive, the painting will already be in progress.
2. Based on the timeline of your wedding day, I will take you for an exclusive photoshoot to use as reference for your painting.
3. Once I have the perfect photo captured, I will sketch it onto the canvas over the background and begin painting the newly weds.
4. By the end of the night, your painting will be near complete and I will show you the piece once again just before leaving. If your photographer and videographer is still present, I will let them know when the painting is complete for the night so they can capture you with your beautiful new painting.
AFTER YOUR WEDDING
1. Post wedding day I will take your painting with me back to the studio, I can take up to 5-30 hours adding in any final details, followed by a final layer of varnish. This process usually takes around 4-16 weeks depending on the size of your painting.
2. Your painting will be professionally packaged and delivered to you, or a local pick-up will be arranged.
FAQ’S
CAN I ADD ADDITIONAL PEOPLE OR GUESTS TO MY PAINTING?
I specialise in intimate, couple-only paintings that showcase your love and connection. If you are considering a painting featuring your guests or other people, in most cases I may not be the right artist for you.
DO YOU REQUIRE AN UPFRONT PAYMENT TO BOOK?
I require a 20% deposit upfront to secure your date and the remaining balance won’t be due until the week before your wedding.
YOU'RE LOCATED IN SOUTH SYDNEY, CAN YOU TRAVEL TO MY WEDDING?
Travel up to 50km to your wedding venue is included in the pricing. If your venue is further than 50km away, a travel fee will apply. This will be discussed prior to booking
I HAVE A SPECIFIC IDEA IN MIND. WILL WE MEET TO GO OVER DETAILS PRIOR TO MY WEDDING?
Definitely! 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding, we will organise a consultation (in-person or virtually) to discuss where you would like me to set up on the day, the backdrop and anything else that may be important to you.
HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU PAINT AT MY EVENT?
I will arrive 2 to 3 hours before your wedding to set up and paint the background. I will paint through your ceremony and reception as entertainment for your guests. I will paint for a total of about 5 to 9 hours.
WHAT TYPE OF PAINT DO YOU USE?
I paint with fine artist quality acrylics on a thick heavy-duty canvas. The canvas has the edges painted nicely and it is ready to hang right when you get home!
